ZIIP Beauty answers your burning questions from ‘Can You Do Microcurrent After BOTOX®?’ to ‘Does Microcurrent Ruin BOTOX®?’.

Whatever your preferred anti-aging treatments and methods, ZIIP is there to make sure you get the best advice and tips possible to achieve your ideal look.

One of the most popular and revered anti-ageing treatments is BOTOX®, a Botulinum Injection from Allergan. Inc. is used to temporarily freeze the muscles from moving to prevent wrinkling of the skin.

But a common question we hear at ZIIP is ‘Can I use Microcurrent After BOTOX®?’.

Can You Use Microcurrent With BOTOX®?

Many people wonder whether a Microcurrent Device, such as the ZIIP HALO, can be used alongside BOTOX®.

The answer is… absolutely.

It is advised that you wait at least 10 days after receiving the injections to engage your ZIIP HALO to allow time for the treatment to settle.

After you’ve given time for the injections to settle, it is absolutely fine to incorporate microcurrent back into your routine.

When using the ZIIP HALO, the Microcurrent and Nanocurrent waves will still increase collagen production and help to stimulate lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness in the face.

If you’re not entirely confident in engaging Microcurrent following BOTOX®, consult your physician as they will be better qualified to give advice on your specific skin.

Does Microcurrent Dissolve BOTOX®?

No, this is a myth–there are no studies or results to suggest that Microcurrent dissolves or negatively affects the BOTOX® treatments.

In fact, there is no reversal method for BOTOX®, although it will naturally dissolve after 3-4 months.

Whilst Microcurrent and BOTOX® may not initially seem to be a complimentary combo, Microcurrent can actually prolong the effects of the injectable treatment by contouring and shaping the muscles to give definition to the face.

How Else Does the ZIIP HALO Support Anti-Ageing?

Sparking life back into your skin has never been easier than with the ZIIP HALO, designed to keep your skin looking youthful and fresh as you age gracefully.

The ZIIP HALO uses both Microcurrent and Nanocurrent to deliver both immediate and long-term results.

With low-level electrical waveforms, the ZIIP HALO energizes the facial muscles, stimulating them to contract and relax repeatedly, leading to a tightened and toned effect. This works to combat the sallow facial appearance often associated with aging due to the drop in collagen levels, and the resulting loss of volume and elasticity in the skin. Tighten the skin around the jowls and the cheeks to adopt an overall more youthful appearance.

Speaking (or more applicably, writing) of our reduced collagen production as we age, the ZIIP HALO can also ignite renewed levels of collagen production, maintaining the fresh, plump appearance of younger skin.

Finally, for getting rid of those fine lines and wrinkles, the ZIIP HALO will do the work of your Gua Sha, supercharged, according to Melanie Simon, creator of ZIIP. Simply use the Microcurrent device in the same way as your Gua Sha, but watch as the electrical currents stimulate your muscles in a much more powerful way.

So, there you have it. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that you would be doing anything to damage your skin by combining a Microcurrent Facial and BOTOX®, as long as you wait the suggested 10 days after your treatment to begin Microcurrent once more.

Age gracefully, however you choose, with ZIIP at your side.
